1.       Find a source of calcium carbonate

·         The first step is to search for the raw material for quicklime.

·         These raw materials can be bought at hardware stores, garden stores or construction material suppliers.

2.       Get the right amount of rock:  

·         In order to make your quicklime, you need to get the right amount of rock.

5.       Store your quicklime:

·         You need to store the quicklime properly.

·         Storing it properly is extremely important. Reason being, quicklime is a potentially dangerous substance.

·         Store it in a dry heavy plastic or a metal container.

·         Seal the container well.

·         Keep quicklime dry.
